Cage the Elephant is an American rock band formed in 2006 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The members of the band are Matt Shultz (vocals),Brad Shultz (guitar),Jared Champion (drums),Daniel Tichenor (bass),and Matthan Minster (keyboards, guitar). Nick Bockrath also played guitar, but is no longer officially part of the band.
Their debut album ‘Cage The Elephant’, released in 2008, brought the band international fame, especially the song ‘Ain't no rest for the wicked’.
The second album ‘Thank you, Happy Birthday’, released in 2011, was followed by the albums ‘Melophobia’, ‘Tell Me I'm Pretty’ and ‘Social Cues’. The last two albums even won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.
The band's albums show the versatility of their music. Sometimes the sounds are more experimental, sometimes more bluesy.
Cage The Elephant are a gifted live band that never fails to wow their fans at concerts.
