Since their formation in 2008, the Imagine Dragons have already had a steep career path. Initially, the former high school and college friends released their first EPs on their own, gaining popularity especially in the regional indie scene. In 2010, Dan Reynolds, Ben McKee, Daniel Wayne Sermon and Daniel Platzman landed a record deal. In 2012, Imagine Dragons had already entered the U.S. charts with their EP "Continued Silence," and their debut album "Night Visions" catapulted them to second place on the Billboard charts. With the single "Radioactive" Imagine Dragons won a Grammy in the category "Best Rock Performance". The quartet also attracted attention outside America, and Imagine Dragons' first German tour was completely sold out. In 2015, the Las Vegas band hopped into the top ten charts in this country with their second album, "Smoke + Mirrors," while they occupied the number one spot in America. After a break due to illness, Imagine Dragons released their third record "Evolve" in 2017, which stayed on the top ranks of the album charts in several countries for weeks at a time. "Believer" ran during Super Bowl commercials and remains one of the band's most popular tracks today. But Imagine Dragons also played "Thunder" and "Whatever It Takes" on the radio. With their fourth album "Origins", the quartet proved that they don't want to commit themselves to one musical genre, where hip-hop beats mix with country, Eighties vibes and various other influences. With their current long-player "Mercury", the musicians are once again taking a different direction.
With 46 million albums sold worldwide, 55 million songs and a total of 74 billion streams, Imagine Dragons are one of the top-selling rock bands in the world. Their success has been recognized with countless awards. Among the most famous Imagine Dragons hits are "Believer", "Thunder" or "Radioactive".
